This qualification may be used as a pathway for workforce entry as community services workers who provide a first point of contact and assist individuals in meeting their immediate needs. At this level, work takes place under direct, regular supervision within clearly defined guidelines.

The Certificate II of Community Services will help you:

  • Provide assistance and support to clients accessing a service or experiencing issues such as alcohol or other drug issues.
  • Assist people in meeting their immediate needs.
  • Provide sort term contact with clients in a crisis situation
  • Provide ancillary services such as catering, cleaning, laundry, gardening and home maintenance.
